Some access-controlled roadways, such as the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey, are state- or municipality-controlled. Only specific contracted providers are allowed to provide service on these roadways. In some cases, those providers refuse to work with networks like Hagerty Drivers Club, and you may be instructed to call the police or local administrator for service. You would then need to submit an invoice for reimbursement up to your benefit allowance.*
We typically do not require appraisals. If we need further documentation supporting a vehicle's value, we will contact you during the underwriting process.
It’s up to your discretion who you allow to drive your car. Just keep in mind, the same acceptable usage that applies to you applies to everyone who drives it. While Hagerty supports youth involvement in the hobby, our program guidelines requires that every driver must be fully licensed, with no state imposed restrictions (such as a suspension). Please call a licensed sales agent to discuss your specific situation.
A claim could impact your rates or deductibles; please do not let this stop you from contacting us.
Hagerty works with agents across the country. We value our agency relationships and make it easy to do business with us. Contact your local agent; they may already work with Hagerty. If not, a Hagerty representative can get them up and running quickly.
